Our Leadership

It takes great leadership to shape a great company. Naturally, we have hand picked the cream of the crop to serve in our top positions and help our company reach its full potential. Starting with John Replogle, our CEO & President.

John Replogle — President & CEO

John Replogle joined Burt's Bees in 2006 to oversee all our activities and set the tone and direction for everything we do. He came to us from Unilever, where he ran the skin care division and helped to launch the Real Beauty campaign for Dove and establish the Dove Self-Esteem Fund for young girls.

John's love for our products and his family both played a role in his decision to come on board. He has four daughters and says "Raising their awareness to environmental and natural product consciousness provides a very tangible benefit in my life. I just feel like this is a place where I can be my best, do great work and do some good in the process."

With a clear founding vision and a great team, the company has built a sustainable and ownable model for growing the triple bottom line at Burt’s Bees - the Greater Good Business Model. John says, "It links our commitment to well-being, sustainability, and social equity and governs all aspects of the business from the bottom up to the top down, connecting ‘grassroots with grass tops.’ We believe a group of empowered employees at the helm of a meaningful mission will achieve amazing work and deliver great natural products to consumers."

John earned a B.A. in History from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. His upbringing in New England gave him a great appreciation for the ocean and mountains. Put him on a bike, in a canoe or on a hiking trail and he couldn't be happier.

John's favorite Burt's Bees products: Herbal Deodorant, Shea Butter Hand Repair Creme (especially in winter) and Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme.
